Blanching in Aesthetic Medicine – A Precise Technique for Treating Fine Wrinkles
Blanching is a unique injection technique used in aesthetic medicine to fill fine lines and superficial wrinkles using Belotero Soft or Belotero Balance filler.
The blanching method involves the superficial injection of a special hyaluronic acid gel into the papillary dermis, directly under the visible fine lines and wrinkles. At the end of the session, there may be slight swelling, which typically disappears within 24 hours. A temporary blanching or whitening of the skin is also observed – this is a normal effect and fades as the filler distributes evenly within the tissue.
A key feature of the Belotero product is that the HA (hyaluronic acid) molecules are cross-linked, forming a unique cohesive network. This structure allows them to retain more moisture and ensures natural biointegration into the skin without contouring or lump formation.
